UIPA
International Union for the Protection of Animals – founded in 1895
UIPA was São Paulo’s first veterinary hospital and today is a shelter to 1200 abandoned dogs and cats , victims of abuse in great need of care and affection.
There are two ways of helping the institution and the animals under their care: adoption and donation.
We need to sensitize people to make the effective decision of adopting them or helping the institution in other ways. The idea is to use a tool that gathers millions of people: Facebook.
Through posts where the animals are going to be portrayed in a ludic way instead of mere exposition on videos or photos. By doing this we are going to raise people’s awareness of adoption, by appealing to the affinity between humans and animals in a light and fun way: hematic pictures using dogs and cats like “models”.
This way, we are going to break UIPA’s Facebook routine, aiming for a larger amount of shared posts and the consequent boost of followers, also increasing the chances of more animals getting a family. We are going to transform the posts into small art pieces and promote an auction on eBay to raise funds for food, medicine and all the necessary material so that UIPA can treat the animals with everything they need and deserve.
